At first glance, this plant looks just like a regular rose bush, carrying either white, pink or red blossoms. However, the locals know it for what it really is: A blood-sucking pest that's been responsible for many deaths over the years.
Those who know what to look for can tell the plant's state from the color of its bossoms: If they are bright red, the plant is well fed and remains passive (but it will defend itself if attacked). White blossoms indicate that the plant is hungry and will attack any living creature that comes close to it.
Youths from the region have been known to attempt to pick the flowers off Blood Rose bushes as a sign of their bravery. Obviously, white flowers are prized higher than red ones due to the greater danger involved in their collection.

When a blood rose sits among other vegetation, any Notice rolls to detect their presence suffer a -2 penalty.
Blood roses can uproot themselves to move about in search of good stalking positions. A rose can travel up to 100 yards in one day. While it's uprooted, the plant is cosidered to have no Fighting Skill (Parry: 2). If attacked while travelling, it must make an Agility roll to take root again and be able to defend itself.
A blood rose can make up to two melee attacks per round.
Anyone wounded or shaken by the plant's thorns must make a Vigor roll or suffer one point of Fatigue.
With a Raise on an attack roll, the blood rose constricts the target in its long vines. Constricted targets can do nothing else but attempt to break out with an opposed Strength roll. While constricted, the target must roll Vigor each round to resist the plant's poison. Once the target is Incapacitated, the rose begins to suck the blood out of his body, causing an automatic Wound each round. The fourth wound taken from blood loss is automatically fatal to the victim.
